Joining Hands Nepal
A Family Orphan HomeArchive for April 27, 2011
Welcome Bina
We are happy to welcome Bina, aka Victoria, from Germany to the orphan home to be a part of the Joining Hands Family for the next 2 weeks. The children have shown no hesitation to embrace her and to make her feel right at home with us. Yesterday everyone got acquainted as Bina lead her first English conversation class with the children and taught them a little bit about Germany. This morning we all practiced yoga and martial arts together and walked around the old city and surrounding valley. From tonight, the children can look forward to having Bina take over teaching the English conversation class and morning rec class completely, and tomorrow she will start at the school, which welcomed her with a small but lovely program with flowers and malas and a special song performed by one of the students. We could not be happier to have Bina here with us, and we look forward to an interesting two weeks full of discovery and sharing. We are also grateful to our friends at Cultural Destination Nepal for making it possible for Bina to come and stay with us.
